B.J. Daniels B.J. Daniels’ life dream was to be a policewomen. After a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold 37 short stories before she finally wrote her first book. That book, ODD MAN OUT, received a 4 ½ star review from Romantic Times magazine and went on to be nominated for Best Intrigue for that year. Since then she was won numerous awards including a career achievement award last year for romantic suspense. This year she has been nominated for another career achievement award for her series work. Her book, PREMEDITATED MARRIAGE (4 ½ stars), won RT’s Best Intrigue for 2002 award and the first book in her 3-book Cascade Concealed series, MOUNTAIN SHERIFF (4 ½ stars), was nominated for Best Intrigue for 2003. Other awards include second in the National Reader’s Choice Awards for THE AGENT’S SECRET CHILD (4 ½ stars) and third in the mainstream category PASIC Book of Your Heart contest. Daniels has sold 28 books and one novella, “The Lovebirds,” in the CRIMES OF PASSION anthology from Worldwide Mystery. She lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, two Springer Spaniels, Jem and Spot, and a temperamental tomcat named Jeff. When she isn’t writing, she snowboards, camps, boats and plays tennis. Her love of Montana comes out in her new 5-book western series, McCalls’ Montana, which begins in September with THE COWGIRL IN QUESTION.
