Happy New Year! 2009
marks Harlequin's 60th anniversary--and Intrigue's 25th!
This year, our newsletter questions will celebrate all that's
suspenseful and wonderful about Harlequin Intrigue.
This month, we're
asking our authors to share what new projects they have coming out in
2009.
With so many good books, with such a variety of themes and storylines,
we'll be celebrating Intrigue all year long!
B.J. Daniels:
I'm delighted to be part of Harlequin's 60th anniversary celebration in
2009. It is a very special year for me. My Whitehorse, Montana
series continues in 2009 with the five Corbett brothers coming to town
beginning in April with Shotgun Bride, May Hunting
Down the Horseman, June Big Sky Dynasty, Sept
Smokin' Six-Shooter and Dec. One Hot
Forty-Five.
But that's not
all the good news! On May 12th Harlequin has a special surprise
involving one of my books. So mark your 2009 calendars. You won't want
to miss that. I'm very excited about the new year and not just
because of the Corbett brothers. During the year I will be working on
the next installment of the Whitehorse series. That's right,
another six books--these introducing the Winchester family in 2010 and
let me tell you, there is no family quite like this one!
So here's to 2009!
Delores Fossen:
2009 will be a busy year for
me, and I couldn't be happier about that. My Texas Paternity
series continues with Intrigues out in January, February and March:
Branded by the Sheriff, Expecting Trouble and Secret
Delivery. The series will wrap up in October. I'll
also have a book in the Kenner County Crime Unit continuity.
Look for Negotiating Her Life in July.
Mallory Kane:
I have three books coming
out in 2009. These are connected, back to back to back books, which will
be on shelves in September, October and November of 2009.. The series is
called The Black Hills Brotherhood, and is based near Sundance,
Wyoming. The tag line is "Three men, one oath--rescue the innocent."
Rook Castle, Deke Cunningham and Matt Parker grew up together and faced
death together when they were 10 years old. On that day they swore their
oath. Now they are battling a deadly threat--an international terrorist
who won't stop until he's certain that Rook Castle is dead. He is
targeting the people Rook loves. I'm planning monthly events
leading up to and through the release of each book. So visit my
website to find out the latest
news about the Black Hills Brotherhood. And Happy New Year!
Dana Marton:
For me 2009 will be the Year of
Royalty. My March release, Desert Ice Daddy, features a
sheik hero, then my May and June releases start a new mini-series about
the six sexy princes of Valtria. Ladies, get your ball gowns ready! You
are about to be invited to the palace.... Happy New Year!!!
Julie Miller:
In 2009, I'm excited to share that
I'll be continuing my 2008 miniseries, The Precinct: Brotherhood of
the Badge. I've been inundated with wonderful fan mail and email
asking me for Detective Kevin Grove's story. That will be a real Beauty
& the Beast tale featuring the burly, gruff, goodhearted KC cop.
Tentatively titled Beauty and the Badge, his story will be
out in October.
Before that, though, I was honored to
be asked to take part in Harlequin's 60th anniversary celebration by
writing a book for Harlequin Blaze's From 0-60 trilogy, set in
the world of drag racing. My book, out in April 2009, Out of
Control, features an undercover cop and a sexy ace mechanic.
Then, in June 2009, I'll have a book out in Intrigue's Kenner County
Crime Unit miniseries. Pulling the Trigger is a
reunion story. Ethan Bia, a Native American tracker working with the
crime unit, is on the trail of a fugitive. He's joined by FBI Agent
Joanna Rhodes--his former lover--in the mountains of Colorado's Four
Corners area. Enjoy!
Patricia Rosemoor:
On the shelves now, you'll
find my second urban fantasy romantic thriller from Del Rey -- The
Vampire Agent co-written with Marc Paoletti. In April, my
Intrigue, Rescuing the Virgin, will round out the
original The McKenna Legacy. Then in August, to celebrate
Intrigue's 25th Anniversary, Stealing Thunder will launch
The McKenna Legacy: Family Secrets (it's the first in a new
branch of the McKenna family). Happy New Year and good reading to you
all!
Kay Thomas:
I have two books out in 2009, including my debut Intrigue in January,
Better Than Bulletproof. On secret military missions Harlan Jeffries had
defied danger; he’d be damned if minding an adorable child—and the boy’s
stubborn and all too sexy aunt--would be his downfall. But when little
Adam’s mother went missing, Harlan had no choice but to take them both
under his own personal protection. Gina Rodgers knew nothing about
mothering an autistic child or staying alive--but she knew a man with
secrets when she saw one. Why then was she drawn to the macho,
larger-than-life Harlan? Even as danger bred desire, Gina wondered what
he knew about her sister’s disappearance. But with the web of murder and
conspiracy tightening around them, Harlan was all that stood between
them and a killer. And then there's Bulletproof Texas
coming in April 2009. A sexy research scientist and a brooding
caving guide are forced to work together extracting a cancer-eating
bacteria from a flooding Texas Hill Country cave. As the sparks fly and
the sexual tension increases, so do the dangers when a competitor
decides this potential cure shouldn't see the light of day--and is
willing to kill anyone who gets in the way.
Joanna
Wayne:
I'm very excited about my new series
starting in March 2009. The series title is Special Ops, Texas
and it's all about some very sexy and brave men who love living life on
the edge. They're all cowboys at heart and ex special ops guys. The
military taught them how to do everything...except fall in love. That's
okay I'll take care of that for them in some very fast-paced and sensual
stories. The first cover-Cowboy Commando-is
to die for. If that man doesn't turn you on, you can't be turned on.
Books in the series include:
Cowboy Commando,
March 2009, Cowboy to the Core,
August 2009 and Bravo Tango Cowboy,
November 2009.
Pat White:
I'm excited about my new series for Intrigue, The Girl Next
Door, debuting with Undercover Stranger in
February, followed by Renegade Soldier in March. When the
editor approached me with this concept I was thrilled since I'd always
been a big fan of the TV show Scarecrow and Mrs. King from back
in the 80's. Remember that one? Single mom gets lured into the spy
business? Very fun! These books were also fun to write because I set
them in my favorite place -- here in the Pacific Northwest.
